Evaluation and Similarities
After looking, analysing and comparing these three opening scenes from three different films I have come to a conclusion that they have a lot of similarities between then. For example, one of the main similarities I have identified is in both of the films 300 and Mission Impossible, the director decides to use high upbeat music with fast rhythm. This gave me a clear indication that both of these films must be an action film as a romantic film is most likely to have the opposite type of music (Calm, peacefull and jolly). Another similarity that I have acknowledged is that all three of these films have decided to use black background with bright colours for their titles and credits this gave me an indication that directors have purposely used bright colours to grab the reader’s attention.

Finally, one of my key similarities I have come to enjoy and classify are the types of editing used in 300 and Mission Impossible. Both of the directors have decided to use fast jump cuts as well as object match during their opening scene of their films. This gave a great affect to the film as well as grabbing the viewer’s attention and keeping them on their toes (interested in the film). It is important to get the viewers attention with something attractive and this is shown through extremely fast jump cuts.

(Sorry Miss i could not upload the opening scenes as the website does not have any methods of how to embed it. In addition, on Youtube there are clips however this is what it states; 'Embedding disabled by request')
